Mother Clutcher new original spec EBS primary clutch and tied-type upgrade secondary clutch and puller tool for 2016+ General 1000. This can also be used to add engine braking to General 1000 XP as the XP models that originally didn't come with EBS.
The EBS primary clutch comes pre-tuned with weights and spring pre-installed and ready to bolt on and use. Our primary clutches have had exclusive upgrades to the critical wear components to make sure they meet the quality of the original primary clutch.
The secondary clutch is an upgrade to a true "tied type" clutch to bolt-on and replace the BOSS-style secondary that originally came on all 2016+ GENERAL 1000 models (all packages). The secondary comes with helix and spring pre-installed and with correct splines in them to bolt-on and run on ALL 2016-current Polaris General models including 2 seats, 4 seaters, S and XP. The set also has improved engine braking, more details on that below.
For the first time, the secondary clutch comes with round rollers pre-installed instead of square pucks!
EBS SPECS (Engine Braking Specs): The downhill engine braking on this set is still there but smoother than what came originally on the 2016+ General non-XP models. This secondary helix will give noticeably more consistent downhill slow down when letting off the gas pedal between 5-18mph its not as prone to kick in and out / engage and release like the original secondary did. It has more engine braking than what came on the XP General models.
IMPROVEMENTS OF THE SECONDARY CLUTCH: this is a true Tied style design that replaces the slightly weaker BOSS design they came with. This is the same style of clutch that came on the 2014-2015 XP 1000's and other higher-end XP models throughout the years. This Tied design has been around a long time and is very well-proven. This P90XT upgrade lets the engine rev up a little higher than the oem did (about 300-400 rpm higher at full throttle). This is also a lot smoother engaging clutch on take-off.
This P90XT clutch has the same heavy-duty design that comes on the 2016-2020 RZR Turbo. It does away with the failure-prone P90X clutch that came on the Ranger and replaces it with a more proven design that can handle more than double the Ranger 1000 Horsepower and still not fail.
To swap to this clutch you only need the P90X puller tool to get the stock one off, plus the new mounting bolt. BOTH are included in this listing.

This is an EBS type (one way bearing) clutch. It came oem on a select few of the 2014-2018 Ranger 900 XP and can be used as a replacement on those, OR it can be used to add additional 0-5mph engine braking on models that didn't come with it. If you add it to a model that originally had a 2 way bearing it will add additional slow down when you let off the gas pedal between 1-5 mph. Ranger 900 XP (2016-2019) PERFORMANCE TUNED Primary Clutch
Mother Clutcher aftermarket performance-tuned clutch made as an OE style Polaris primary (aka drive) clutch specific for 2016-2019 Polaris Ranger 900 XP models including base Crew XP models. THIS DOES NOT WORK ON 2013-2016 900 Ranger MODELS UNLESS YOU FLASH THE ESC FOR HIGHER RPM LIMIT OR INSTALL A 2016-2019 STOCK RANGER ECM ON YOUR 2013-2016 MODEL.
This clutch engages around 2000rpm like oem but in high gear by the time you cruise 20mph you're at 4600 rpm vs oem 4200rpm.
During wide-open throttle this clutch allows Ranger to stay where it makes more power between 7500-7800 rpm like a 2015+RZR 900 instead of being governed down to below 6800rpm max like the oem Ranger clutch is.
We were able to reach 60mph with no problem on the otherwise all stock 2018 Ranger 900 XP. As with the OEM clutch, the 900 engine still gets a little slow to climb faster after it reaches about 50mph BUT the 0-50mph time is noticeably improved and just typical trail riding the throttle more responsive since the engine can stay more in the upper powerband.
Top speed and RPMs while accelerating will vary slightly depending on your tire size and your belt and secondary clutch condition. Keep in mind the factory 2016+ rev limiter is 8000rpm so this can add performance safely.

This is the EBS style of clutch, which means it has a one way bearing which adds EBS (engine brake system) to some years of RZR 570 that did not originally come with the feature. If you have a RZR 570 L.E. you already had this style clutch and it will perform same as your stock one. If you have another year or package RZR 570, you will feel that upgrade because it helps you slow down a little when you let off the gas which equals less wear on your brakes.

*This is the EBS style of clutch, meaning it has a one way bearing which adds EBS (engine brake system). This came stock on 2009 RZR 800-S. The 2008-2009 RZR 800 and 800-S have a Tied style secondary with a moderate EBS helix in it. This 1-way EBS type primary goes great with the 2008-2009 RZR 800 stock secondary. The 2010-2014 RZR 800 come with a weaker EBS disposable type clutch called a Rapid Reaction secondary. You can add this next to the 10-14 OEM Rapid Reaction Secondary but EBS gain will be mild or not noticable unless you upgrade your 2010-2014 Rapid Reaction secondary to a Tied style secondary first. I also sell the tied secondary upgrade as well.

This is the non-EBS primary that came on many years of RZR 900-S. Most of the slow down you feel when let off the gas between 5-20 mph on your RZR 900 comes from the secondary helix. If you have a good primary clutch already and your goal is to cut back on EBS then we recommend trying this reduced EBS secondary clutch first.
This clutch does get rid of rough/jerky take-off problems the original clutches had! It also stopped my 900 from making some of the clicking/popping sounds on deceleration and coasting!
